DIY project #1

Last week I finally finished a DIY project I've been working for a while... an embroidered necklace, made with an old, vintage YSL tie, a lot of beads and buttons.

I'm so proud of it that I want to make some more: I think it's perfect to refresh a basic plain t-shirt.

La settimana scorsa ho finalmente ultimato il mio progetto fai da te a cui stavo lavorando da un po'... una collana ricamata, fatta con una vecchia cravatta vintage di YSL, tante perline e bottoni.

Sono così soddisfatta che penso ne farò ancora: trovo che sia un accessorio perfetto per ravvivare una t-shirt basica.

Spero che questo progetto vi piaccia quanto piace a me.

Marché aux puces - Vol. 1

Prato della Valle

Yesterday the weather was beautiful why not to take a walk in Prato della Valle and use it as an excuse to give a look at the nice antiques and vintage market that take place there evey third sunday of each month?

I've obviousely find something interesting to take home with me... I was looking for a colourful maxi clutch but I had no luck in this mission! Anyway I found something else.

The whole found . Quanto trovato

The first clutch from the bottom is a Rodo. I almost never heard of it but once I was back home I checked on the net and I found out mine is a pretty lucky find. Lucky or not, I love the design of this navy blue clutch.

La prima clutch dal basso è una Rodo. Non sapevo praticamente nulla di questo marchio fino a ieri, così una volta tornata a casa ho controllato in internet e a quanto pare il mio è stato un ritrovamento fortunato. Ad ogni modo, fortunato o meno, a me piace molto il design di questa clutch blu navy.

Dal momento che ieri il tempo era delizioso ho deciso di fare una passeggiata in Prato della Valle: una scusa per curiosare tra i banchi del mercatino dell'antiquariato e dell'usato che ha luogo in questa bellissima piazza ogni terza domenica del mese.

Ovviamente ho trovato qualcosa da portare a casa che non poteva assolutamente essere lasciato lì. Sono partita alla ricerca di una maxi clutch colorata che purtroppo non ho trovato, mi sono però consolata con qualcos'altro.

The second clutch is no branded but the leather is so soft and the shape is really handy. The belt on the back is Orciani: I love the buckle shape of it.
The bangles are perfect for summer outfit, while the broach really suits autumn outfit.

La seconda clutch non è di nessuna marca ma la pelle è morbidissima e la forma molto comoda. La cintura in secondo piano è Orciani: mi piace moltissimo la forma della fibbia.
I braccialetti sono perfetti per degli outfit estivi, mentre la spilla a forma di foglia è perfetta per gli outfit autunnali

Good for summer

When the temperature get higher and you're feeling too hot, a fan is a perfect accessory for the summer.

Chic, vintage and charming when you get it out from the bag, there's always someone asking "You have a fan?!?!?!" Of course I do, I love it. 

It makes me feel immediately fresh and add a little bit of style. 

So if you have a friend going to Asia or Spain don't forget to ask to bring you a fan which will turn into your saviour while you're having a drink in July.

Un ventaglio può essere l'accessorio perfetto quando le temperature salgono e il caldo si fa sentire.

Chic, retrò e charming, quando prendi il ventaglio dalla borsa ed inizi a sventolarti troverai sempre qualcuno che ti chiede: "Hai un ventaglio?!?!?!?, certo che ce l'ho!

Mi fa sentire fresca e aggiunge un po' di stile.

Quindi, se avete amici che vanno in Asia o in Spagna chiedetegli di portarvi a casa un ventaglio... diventerà il vostro salvatore mentre berrete l'aperitivo a luglio.
