On sales I always try to remember to buy something that can also be on the next season trend and that I can still like.
Let's make some examples starting from... shoes.
This year we saw a lot of wedges and platueau-heel laced-up shoes and booties, they're cool and pretty confortable to allow us to walk all day and still be fashionable. Here you find Zara wedged booties and Max&Co laced up hills.
What about dresses? If you still not have a Little Black Dress (LBD) in your wordrobe take the sales as an excuse to buy one... possibly a good quality one that will worth your expenditure in your future possible accasions. The one I picked is modern but still classy as well from Max&Co FW 10/11 collection.
On winter sales you can also buy something that will be usefull during hot summer night parties...choose between a simple and well shaped cocktail dresses -like Asos - or a dress embellished by lace and applications like this Valentino -if you can afford it! Good alternatives on Topshop website.
What else? Remember to add a touch of classy camel into your next outfit, it can be a cardigan or a pair of trousers, Chloè FW 10/11 is a masterpiece on the theme.
Cheaper alternative offered by many brands, like the above Max&Co pullover.
Also choose a jacquard cardigan or pullover that will grant you a"Chic Cortina" allure also in the cold days in the city. If you like this idea, shown by D&G FW 10 , check out Asos website.
Skirt? Try draped skirt, like the one of Zara (black) or Coast+Weber+Ahaus (Grey).
Trausers? Skinnies are still fantastic and good but why don't try to have a more sophisticated look with a pair of straight trousers.
Shorts? Also in the cold season they're hot, giving the advantage to make you feel more confortable than a skirt, but still sexy showing out you legs with a pair of heels.
Don't forget to step by some vintage or second hand shop, you never know how many surprises - if you're lucky and patient enough during your search- you can find in it.
