Red Lights

As seen during the past fashion weeks, it looks like red accessories will definately be back during fall-winter 2011/12.
To me, Bottega Veneta new bag is stunning!

Agiudicare da quanto visto sulle passerelle, sembra proprio che gli accessori rossi siano di ritorno per l'autunno-inverno 2011/12.
Secondo me la nuova borsa di Bottega Veneta è meravigliosa!

Tropical Fruits and Citrus

Inspiration: Stella McCartney, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Prada

Citrus and tropical fruit print is one of the trend launched by some brands (Prada, Stella McCartney, Moschino) and then also presented by cheaper low cost chain, like H&M.
My personal version of the trend? This silk blause I found hanged in my favourit thrifted shop, which is printed with lemons and oranges.

La mia camicia vintage + shorts H&M + sandali Céline (già visti qui) + cintura vintage
My vintage blause + H&M shorts + Céline sandals (alredy seen here) + vintage belt

Kaleidoscopic Prada

What else? Miuccia is always Miuccia, pretty often a step ahead!

Che dire? Miuccia è sempre Miuccia, è spesso è un passo avanti!

Bye for now!

Spring is (almost) served!

The weather doesn't seem of my opinion... cold wind, rain, snow! But I'm already feeling like spring.
This window shop of Pavin in Padova agrees with me!

Il tempo non sembra essere della mia stessa opinione... vento freddo, pioggia, neve! Io mi sento già come fosse primavera. La vetrina di Pavin in centro a Padova sembra essere d'accordo con me.

Bye for now!

China and Fashion vol. 2

I have already talked on how much European fashion and luxury brands are interested in China.
Now also Prada payed its respect to the growing wealthy Chinese class and signalled her focus on China's huge market.
Yesterday January 22nd, the Milanese brand throw a special show at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum in Beijing and this was Prada's first catwalk show outside Europe.
Miuccia Prada, who has already won plaudits for her spring/summer 2011 collection (simply-cut dresses and suits in a quirky mix of stripes and solids, with bold splashes of orange, violet and electric blue), for the special occasion added a few looks from her spring menswear line.
Now, choosing Beijing as the location of the first show outside of Europe, can be seen as a way to thank Chinese customers for the total sales increased by 51 percent throughout 2010 in China. Not only that, rumors circulating in the fashion world also mentioned the steps taken by the Italian fashion house Prada on any plan to register the company in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (if you want to read some more about it please go to AFP or to Beijing Stylites)

Many local celebrities participated at the show: among them the actresses Gong Li (first pic) and  Maggie Cheung (second pic).

The event also hosted the English group "The Pet Shop Boys" which intrateined Prada's many guest.

Definately China is the place to be right now!

Bye for now!
