To Italy and its 150 years!

Grazie!

Altough our Country has a very long history, Italy it's united only since 150 years.
I hope that this national holiday, newly created among millions of annoing and unusefull polemics, will be confirmed as a fixed anniversary, not to have one more day off, but to reflect and remember ambitions and bravery of those people who unified several small states into a Nation.
To them I can only be thankful.

Bye for now!

Proudly Italian, Proudly from Veneto

Put your hands up if you never desired those bag or some other Bottega Veneta's made with beautiful and famous "intrecciato nappa".
I always loved it and now, after the statement made by the CEO Marco Bizzarri I even love it more. He declared that the brand must be tight linked to Italy and particulary to Veneto (my region). That's why it's called Bottega Veneta.
Actually, in this period of crisis when everyone is moving to cheaper economies for production, Bottega Veneta's choice it's even more outstanding, in fact the company decided once more to produce everything local and not to go global.
Here in Veneto, a lot of worldfamous premier brand are closing down the factories to produce where the workmanship is cheaper, while Bottega Veneta proudly decided to give work to unemployed local artisans women, buiding up a new cooperative and giving them - and their families -  a new hope and job for the future (read more from Il Corriere del Veneto)

Made in Italy is important and we do have to save the tradition of our artisans.

Bye for now!
